Exposition: ‘Power of Faith’ in Heidelberg
The year 2013 will see the 450th anniversary of the Heidelberg Catechism. After the Synod of Dort (1618/19) recognized it as a confessional standard, the Catechism spread throughout the world and became a symbol of the changes that occurred in Europe, America and Asia.
An anniversary exposition will be displayed in two places in Heidelberg: in the Kurpfälzisches Museum, and in the Ottheinrichsbau of the Heidelberg Castle. Entitled ‘Macht des Glaubens’ (The Power of Faith), the exposition will run from 12 May to 15 September 2013.
In parallel with it, an exposition celebrating the 450th anniversary of the Heidelberg Catechism will be displayed in the Netherlands in Nationaalmusuem Paleis Het Loo. The provisional title is: ‘The House of Orange and Religion.’
