University of Oslo coordinator Refo500 for Scandinavia

22-09-2010

Last Tuesday a consultation for academic organizations from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden was held in the university of Oslo. It appears that a great interest in the project Refo500 exists in Scandinavia, that has been characterized since the Reformation by a Lutheran tradition and where the majority of the inhabitants belong to the Lutheran church.

The university of Oslo had decided to become a project partner before, but the the official agreement was signed now by Dr. Trygve Wyller of the University of Oslo and Dr. Herman Selderhuis, director of Refo500. Considering the expected number of new partners the idea is to bring the Scandinavian organizations in closer contact with each other. The University of Oslo will play a coordinating role in this. During the consultation various ideas on collaborating on new and existing projects were shared. The coordination will be done by Dr. Tarald Rasmussen of the University of Oslo.
