Five Refo500-partners from three continents meet in Geneva

04-07-2011

Refo500-partners from three different continents met in Geneva on Thursday, June 30. Representatives of Chongshin University in Seoul, Korea, as well as a group traveling from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, USA, visited the Musée International de la Réforme in Calvin’s city.

The two institutions are currently touring Europe. A delegation from the Korean university, including its president Il-Ung Chung as well as Rev. Kim and Dr. In-Sub Ahn, is visiting Refo500-partners in Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands and Flanders. The party from Westminster Theological Seminary is on a Reformation Tour led by its president Dr. Peter Lillback. They took the opportunity during their travels to meet in Geneva and discuss the possibility of organizing a Calvin-exposition in their respective countries following the successful example of the expositions devoted to this Reformer in Geneva and Dordrecht in 2009.

The tour of the Korean delegation was organized by Historizon, while Witte Travel in Grand Rapids organized the Westminster tour. In this way five Refo500-partners from three different continents suddenly found themselves in each other’s company in the museum’s inner court.
