Renewal and change

22-04-2010

On October 31, 1517, the German professor Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses about the abuses in the church on the door of the castle Church at Wittenberg. This act became known as the start of what was later called the Reformation.

They not only caused a split from the church, but also meant that Europe was radically and permanently changed in, among others, theological, religious, political, social, and cultural fields. For Refo500, this is the reason to pay attention to the Reformation as a movement of renewal and change.
