Travel, Ecumenical Fellowship and Knowledge
The “Refo500 Train” combines great travel experiences at the Reformation Sites in Europe with ecumenical fellowship and the knowledge of leading experts. While the train brings the travellers safely and most comfortably to the next stop, “train cruise” participants enjoy the time meeting one another and simply walking around and chatting in the day coaches and lounge cars. Introductions and lectures will be given by international Reformation experts, teachers, and professors over the train’s loudspeaker system, while workshops and presentations will be available in the meeting areas.
The Refo500 Train connects the most important places of the Calvinistic and Lutheran Reformation in Europe from Wittenberg (Berlin) to Heidelberg, Geneva, and Strasbourg to Dordrecht (Rotterdam). Just like after the arrival of a cruise boat busses will take the participants on excursions. While snacks and drinks are served on the train, dinner and overnight stays are arranged in local hotels.
