The Institute for Literary Studies, Research Centre for the Humanities of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, opening a series of three consecutive Refo500 events, has organized March 18, 2015 its first workshop reflecting on some of the most relevant methodological issues related to the historiography of early modern literary culture, titled: The Mandate of the Interpretation I.: The Historiography and Historical Writing of the Early Modern Hungarian Literature.

The Institute for Literary Studies, RCH, HAS together with the University of Miskolc organizes an international conference dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the death of Miklós Bethlen (1642–1716), great statesman and a prolific early modern author, titled: "Tribute to Miklós Bethlen (1642–1716): Sources, Genres and Scribal Habits of Early Modern Prison Literature". The organisers invite to send in paper proposals. The conference will be held May 18-20, 2016 in Miskolc.
