Sabine Hiebsch (VU University Amsterdam) organized session 55 at the Sixteenth Century Society and Conference October 25 in San Juan (Puerto Rico) on the theme: "Concepts of Sainthood in Early Modern Christianity". The session was co-sponsored by VU University Amsterdam and Refo500. Amy Nelson Burnett (University of Nebraska-Lincoln) was the chair.

Culture of Migration: Exile and Persecution in Early Modern Europe
On the 29th of November 2013 a multidisciplinary workshop examining religious persecution and forced migration has been organized at the Research Centre for Humanities, Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The workshop was meant to be a first major reflection on the RefoRC project entitled, "Reformation and the Hungarian Culture of Migration: Five Centuries of Survival of Reformed Hungarians all over the World."

On the 20th and 21st of November scholars from key research institutions in the field of historical theology and early modern literature gathered together at the Theology Faculty of the Christian Theological Academy and the Faculty of “Artes Liberales” of the University of Warsaw in order to discuss the heritage of the Brest Bible and further research perspectives related to this document.
